Nursing Research

NURS 4100


This course emphasizes the critical review and evaluation of
research articles and application of research findings to
practice. Specific aspects of the research process are
discussed from both a quantitative and qualitative approach,
as a foundation to being an informed consumer of research.
Building a scientific basis for practicing nursing is
studied as a method for improving the quality of nursing
practice. For basic licensure students, completion of all
3000-level NURS courses is recommended prior to taking this
course.
Pre-Requisites:
MATH 1231 with a minimum US grade of C Or
HSCI 2201 with a minimum US grade of C
AndNURS 3101 with a minimum US grade of C Or
NURS 3701 with a minimum US grade of C
