Medical Coding II

MEDA 2220


Covers the use of International Classification of Disease,
Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM) and Current Procedural
Terminology (CPT) codes in medical billing and insurance
claims. The student will complete exercises using
simulated situations which require identification of
appropriate codes from coding materials. Grade of D in any
MEDA course will not count toward graduation in the Medical
Assisting program.
Pre-Requisites:
MEDA 1120 with a minimum US grade of C
OrMEDT 1120 with a minimum US grade of C
