An introduction to the basic principles of human behavior
that will include the physical and psychological needs,
growth and development, defense mechanisms, verbal and
non-verbal communication, and death and dying. The student
will evaluate and assess individuals with special needs
as well as other approaches to health care involving
holistic and non-medical therapies. Grade of D in any
MEDA course will not count toward graduation in the
Medical Assisting program.
