Laboratory Procedures

MEDA 1130


Covers a broad range of procedures performed in the
Physician's Office Laboratory (POL). The student will
have practice in capillary puncture, venipuncture,
hemoglobin, hematocrit, blood typing, Gram's stain,
differential count, urinalysis, and other lab tests.
Includes x-ray safety, ECG and Physical Therapy.
Pre-Requisites:
MEDA 1110 with a minimum US grade of C
AndMEDA 1140 with a minimum US grade of C (can be taken concurrently) Or
MEDT 1140 with a minimum US grade of C (can be taken concurrently) Or
MEDA 1102 with a minimum US grade of C (can be taken concurrently)
