Medical Coding I

MEDA 1120


A study of codes used to translate written terminology or
descriptions into code numbers. Emphasis on International
Classification of Disease, Clinical Modification (ICD-9-CM),
and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) as they pertain to
medical practices. Grade of D in any MEDA course will not
count toward graduation in the Medical Assisting program.
Credit by exam is available prior to enrolling in this

Pre-Requisites:
MEDA 1100 with a minimum US grade of C Or
ATMA 101 with a minimum UG grade of C Or
MEDT 1100 with a minimum US grade of C
