Medical Assisting Procedures

MEDA 1110


Introduces the skills needed to provide technical support in
assisting the physician with a patient history and physical
examination. Areas of emphasis include infection control,
universal precautions, vital signs, positioning and draping,
general examinations, sterilization techiques, first aid and
CPR. Grade of D in any MEDA course will not count
toward graduation in the Medical Assiting program.
Pre-Requisites:
MEDT 1100 with a minimum US grade of C Or
MEDA 1100 with a minimum US grade of C
AndMEDA 1102 with a minimum US grade of C
