Advanced Database Modeling

ITDB 4201


An advanced course in database modeling drawing distinctions
between data modeling, process modeling and implementation.
Topics inlcude Structured Query Language (SQL), Entity-
Relationship modeling, rational algebra, normalization and
relational database modeling, integrity constraints, and
database security. Student teams design a database to
integrate concepts learned.
Pre-Requisites:
ITFN 3134 with a minimum US grade of C
AndITFN 3314 with a minimum US grade of C
AndITFN 3601 with a minimum US grade of C
AndITFN 2411 with a minimum US grade of C
AndITFN 2211 with a minimum US grade of C Or
ITFN 2511 with a minimum US grade of C
