Dental Materials

DHYG 3230


Students are introduced to the basic principles of dental
materials science. This includes the physical, chemical,
biological, and mechanical properties of dental materials
commonly used in the dental office and dental laboratory.
Emphasis is placed on why particular materials & techniques
are used rather than to stress only specific techniques of
manipulating the materials.
Prerequisite: BSDH Admission.
Pre-Requisites:
DHYG 3230L with a minimum US grade of C (can be taken concurrently)
