Writing & Editing - Mass Media

CMS 3500


A course in writing and editing for mass audiences,
including print, broadcast, and Internet Journalism.
Emphasis on news gathering, public affairs reporting, and
practical applications of journalistic techniques and
genres. Open to students who have been admitted to the
Communication and Media Studies (CMS) minor or BA programs.
Pre-Requisites:
CMS 2010 with a minimum US grade of C
AndCMS 2100 with a minimum US grade of C
AndENGL 1102 with a minimum US grade of C Or
ENGL 112 with a minimum UG grade of C
AndCOMM 1110 with a minimum US grade of C Or
SPCH 121 with a minimum UG grade of C Or
SPCH 101 with a minimum UG grade of C
