The Visual Arts and Society

ART 3101


A topical or thematic approach to the study of the networks
of relationships between works in the visual arts and the
social structures in which those works are created and
interpreted, considering both historical and contemporary
perspectives. Critical thinking and communication skills
are emphasized. Completion of CRIT 1101 & Area C recommended
Pre-Requisites:
ENGL 1102 with a minimum US grade of D Or
ENGL 102 with a minimum UG grade of D Or
ENGL 112 with a minimum UG grade of D
